Interpret My Dream. (Time)?

Hello people,

Anyways, I've been having this dream for quite some time now. It's usually manifests itself in different forms, but all end the same.

The dream starts out with me standing and some rocky surface. The sky is pitch-black and all I can see is a huge hourglass (I would say it was 30 ft. tall.

The hourglass is upside-down though (The sand is running up instead of down). All I have in front of me are some weird rock-type things. I'm wasn't sure what to do the first time I had this dream, but overtime, I realized I had to somehow knock the hourglass over to stop time. So I would be hurling the rocks towards the top of the hourglass and somehow it reaches the top. Over and over I throw these rock-things and during this whole dream, my airway is closing. I can never get to the point where I can completely topple over the hourglass, because I run out of air and wake up.

A lot of people say that the whole time thing is anxiety, but there's nothing coming up that gets me nervous. (I ruled out school because I'm actually looking forward to it).

Any ideas :P?

  1. if your actually waking out of breath, it might be health related. dreams often reflect your health. its why people have really strange dreams when they're sick. my father has a health condition where he actually stops breathing in his sleep, and wakes up out of breath. he was fine, but it was obvious it wasn't healthy and could become a problem. see a doctor. they can run a test to find out if it is a health problem.

otherwise it could indeed be stress related. it doesn't have to be about school though. family or close relations can easily cause stress. more so then interacting with others because you really deeply care what happens to them, and what they think, how you will act around them, and what you will say in response to stressful situations.

there are so many things that can cause stress. most people are stressed out and don't know it because the cause is so minuscule.

  2. Say: "Short is the enjoyment of this world: the Hereafter is the best for those who do right: That is best for you, if ye (but) knew. (Quran)

This is a most interesting one, had to think for a minute, an upside down hour glass meaning that the time you see and spend now is actually a dream, the wrong way around, not the true way things should go.  Perhaps you are one to realize this and question why things in the world are the way they are.  You are concerned about your life, livelihood, spirituality, death.  This manifest itself in the symbol of the hour glass.  You want to create, modify, change, make things "right" before you take your last breath.  You are greatly concerned with creating your life in the way YOU want to regardless of others'.  When you do stop time by toppling the glass, time in this world will stop for you as well, as you will have no more breath.  To regain your respiratory strength, you need to adorn your spirit with the remembrance of God, your blessings and prayer.  Then even if time stops and your breath ceases, the dream of this existance will end giving way to the true existance.  Your feeling that you need to topple over this hour glass is also indicative of your concern about your accomplishments in life and the universal concern with death.  Here's food for thought:

I don't know about toppling over the glass as what fate has in store, the time and the day is not determined by us.
