Interpret my dream please?

While talking on the phone calmly in a hotel room, a yellow, medium-sized snake appeared. It slithered with its head up. At one point it chased me back against a bureau. I stopped its motion by putting my right toe on it. It hissed at me. The person on the phone was telling me not do anything. I tried to knock it out with the red flashlight in my hand. The snake then reached down and bit me on my right big toe. It only hurt me by the bite, not the sting. I banged its head to death. My mother came over, moved a cello case away from blocking the door, closed it and helped me to the bed. The other, unknown woman in the room was refusing to call an ambulance.

* I don't live with my mother; I live in another country.

* She wanted to play violin as a girl.

* I was not afraid of the snake, rather I was uncomfortable with it's presence... and the chasing me bit.

* My mother & the woman seemed not to be in the room initially.

* I'm going through a job change, not stressed about it though.

  1. I think this is about you seeming to take things in your stride, but there is maybe an undercurrent of wanting to talk to someone about things. Something you need to get off your chest, that you couldn't tell just anybody. Possibly your mother, but not necessarily, just someone who will listen and not give their advice or opinion, just listen. Maybe you have trouble finding someone like that. Do you have to learn something new for your new job?  I think there's a little bit of you feels like you are starting school for the first time again. Almost like a slight insecurity or aloneness which you don't like as I think you are popular and have a good set of social friends.

  2. To see a snake or be bitten by one in your dream, signifies hidden fears and worries that are threatening you.  Your dream may be alerting you to something in your waking life that you are not aware of or that has not yet surfaced. The snake may also be seen as phallic and thus symbolize dangerous and forbidden sexuality. The snake may also refer to a person around you who is callous, ruthless, and can't be trusted. As a positive symbol, snakes represent transformation, knowledge and wisdom. It is indicative of self-renewal and positive changes.

  3. Snake

    1. An ancient symbol of transmutation. The dreamer will soon undergo a vast inner change that will be reflected in her outer life. If the dream is a positive and uplifting one, then good times are ahead. If the dream is a scary one, the times ahead may still be good ones, but the dreamer needs to be very careful of pitfalls along the way.

    2. An even more ancient symbol for the Great Goddess. If the dreamer is a woman, then she will soon come into realization of her power as a woman. If the dreamer is a man, especially if he is single, a very powerful and exciting woman will soon come into his life - though she may not be a potential love partner.

  4. The snake is a man, your mother symbilzed "right from wrong"

You are questioning your choices you have made resently.

You have fear of your passions.
