Interpret this dream? For my mum:P

For some reason I'm going to bed in my eldest daughter's bedroom. I get undressed and throw my clothes on the floor. The minute I get into bed my t-shirt floats up in front of me. After the initial shock I grab the t-shirt and throw it back down on the floor. It floats up in front of me again. After grabbing it and throwing it down again it siwftly flew at my face and wrapped itself around my face. However I was no longer frightened and just calmly tried to remove it. Any ideas on what this means? It was just so weird...

  1. Your dream suggests you are finding yourself in a place where you are not welcome.

Is your eldest daughter a bit private and independent in nature?  Perhaps she values her privacy to the point that she does not even want others in her room.  You find yourself there in near defiance - but perhaps mainly as a mum who is exercising authority or sovereinty in her own household.

But you realize you're not welcome there.  It is not your right, as your daughter would see it, to drop your clothing there and sleep in her room.  You are stoutly rebuffed twice by the 'spirit' of your daughter (does not mean she's passed on - a living but unseen presence is meant).  In this she does not harm - but firmly 'hands' your garment back to you.  Finally comes the clincher - the wrapping of the shirt in a final attempt to discourage your presence - with near violence.  At this moment you become surprisingly calm as you deal with the issue.

And what is that final issue, a tantrum of sorts?  Consider any conflicts you may have with this daughter and the pattern of how they are voiced and dealt with.  Does she protest openly but mildly to a point, thence launching a louder protest?  Is that the point where you truly assume the calm mother's role, no matter the affront?

Conversely, consider simply that your daughter may just be strongly independent and private.  That too can drive such a dream.

Hopefully some of these points may help in the context that you would know best.  You must be the judge of that, but they are suggested by what you've shared.

    All the best to you.
