Interrail Train Stations?

Just wondering do the train stations in cities such as Vienna and Prague offer lockers so you can put your bags inside them for the day when you are exploring the city and not staying at a hostel that day and getting the night train that evening?

  1. It varies depending on the general security situation in each country - in countries like the UK and France where there have been terrorist bomb attacks in the past, left luggage lockers have tended to be withdrawn and replaced by manned luggage offices. It's a few years since I was last in Germany, but then there were plenty of luggage lockers in the major stations like Munich Hbf, but I think the tendency now is to use manned offices where your luggage can be x-rayed before it's stored.

  2. I can tell for Vienna: The larger stations (Westbahnhof, Südbahnhof, Praterstern) have automatic lockers, where you can leave your bags for up to 24 hours.
