If you were asked that in the interview, what would be a very general and good answer to this question?

  1. If you were fired, just say, " it didn't work out. "  Surely if you were fired, it  didn't work out!

  2. whatever the reason, be positive about it.  you wanted more of challenge, you had gone as far as you could with the company & are looking for more, etc.

  3. You needed a change, wanted to work at a location closer to home, there was a conflict with work and school schedules, were looking for experience more in line with your career path, wanted something with more educational opportunities, etc.

  4. A good answer would be that they weren't giving you enough hours, or enough money.

I left my last job because the boss was a b****, but I don't think you should say that in an interview.
