  1. Some good answers above.

They might also ask you about your knowledge of the child protection act and policies regarding the reporting of abuse etc.

    Good luck with the interview!

  2. Did you have to answer any selection criteria if so the answer is usually in these. You will also get an idea from the position description aswell.

The types of questions you will probably get will be:

How do you plan to implement a program which helps the people who are most likely to access thie program (eg adolescents and adults with learning difficulties)?

How would you deal with an adolescent who has behavioural problems?

A student in the program comes to you and tells you they are being abused what would you do. - you'll find that this is one reason kids get to the point where they are excluded as they may be acting out at school as a way of getting noticed so they can get help

What's your view on having children in a classroom (infant/toddler age), or on teenage pregnancy/parenting?

Tell us about your leadership qualities.

A member of your team has got into a relationship with one of the students or wants to how would you deal with this

What is your understanding of confidentiality, learning disabilit

I'm writing this assuming that the types of people you are going to be working with are adolescents and adults.

  3. obviously the questions will be about the subject and there criteria, but be positive in your answers keep focused don't deviate unless its relevant to adult learning with difficulties or young people, good  luck personally i hate interviews but it helps if you know the person in front of you it takes the edge off the nervousness of the interview

  4. You can google this and read up on the position via Monster.

Then you can gage the questions asked.  To really find out the answer, call via the yellow pages, other people who have the position you want.  Ask them directly what to expect.

    Good luck!
