Interview for a CA state job....budget crisis!

Question

I finally got an interview with the women's state prison in california....and now this budget crisis has forced a temporary federal minimum wage on state employees, laid of temps now i am worried i am going to miss my chance to get on as a state worker. Are they going to even hire me??

Go to the interview.  Proceed as if nothing was going on.  It might take them longer to hire you, but it shouldn't stop them if they want you.  Just delay things.
