Interview question : why do u want to switch from quality to production ?

I m working in a quality department in a food company. Now for some reason i want to switch to production line. could anybody please suggest me what shd i answer if in interview somebody will ask me

why you want to switch from quality to production line? serious answer please...

You seem to be wanting to take a step down the work hierarchy ladder, rather than attempting to continue strive upward.

But, you can say that you would like to work in production for a finite time in order to understand the production process to a higher level of detail so that you can apply that knowledge to facilitate the continual improvement of the quality control processes which are currently in place.

Then, you can choose to stay in production after sufficient time has passed.  Or, if you find production work to be unsatisfying, you can move back to your old position.
