Hello i'm doing an assignment asking me to interview anyone with a 4year college degree. I ask that you please answer these 8 questions.

1. What is your aim in life?

2. How did you become what you are today?

3. What encouraged or discouraged you to pursue your education?

4. What effect has your education had on your career?

5. If you had a choice to do something else what would it be?

6. Are you happy with what you are doing?

7. Do consider yourself successful?

8. What peace of wisdom can you give a freshmen in college?

I would greatly appreciate if you took time and answered these.

  1. 1)  My ultimate aim is to handle being both a tenured Criminology professor AND an author. Right now I'm just doing the professor thing.

    2)  I got my first undergraduate degree in Forensics, followed by a second in Criminology (and my master's is in Criminology as well).

    3)  I always had my friends and family for support, as well as some phenomenal instructors who became mentors...I could ask them their opinions on anything.

    4)  If I didn't have my education I wouldn't be where I am today...no question about it. It's allowed me to do exactly what I wanted to do.

    5)  Hmm...Rock star? ;) Actually I am doing exactly what I love, and I wouldn't change it!

    6)  Absolutely. I've worked crime scenes to investigations, but I enjoy teaching SO much more!

    7)  For the most part. I still have a few things I would like to accomplish, but I am happy regarding where I am right now.

    8)  Don't be afraid to try classes/subjects that are out of your comfort zone. Just because you know nothing about them...or because you think you won't be any good, doesn't mean that is the case. You never know what you are truly good at or what you truly love doing until you try out a few different things. And don't get too overwhelmed. College is an adjustment to everyone who is new to it, not just you. Remember you're not alone. We've ALL been there!
