ok ive got my first interview today, its at a retail shop thats to do with sports, and i dont know what there gonna ask me any tips or what questions there likley to ask?

  2. 1. Go look up their store (or company) on the web and find out everything you can about them. Interviewers like to see you did your homework before coming in.

    2. Answer the question in your mind "Why do you want to work there?" and come up with something better than "I need the money" :)

    3. Be friendly and outgoing in the interview but not overly so - if it's retail they will want to see you're good with people but not that you'll jump down their throats trying to sell them something.

    4. Dress "dressy casual" even if the job doesn't require any special clothes.

    5. If you don't have any relevant experience, answer the question in advance in your head as to why they should hire you (you're a quick learner, you have some kind of experience in another field, you're a hard worker, etc).
