Anyone know of some good questions to ask after the interview and perhaps advice for during the actual thing? I'm interviewing for an executive assistant position for this big fancy place!!!

So far I'm going to ask

what would you say are the most important/difficult aspects of this job?

and I'm working on coming up with more, I'll probably think of some more questions to ask tomorrow while it's going on. advice??

  1. Hey congratulations on getting the interview, it can be difficult to even get seen by vc firms.

I would ask more industry related questions that show off your expertise in venture capital.  I would do a quick refresher on the firm you are interviewing with so that you can ask questions related to the firm and its future.  This shows you have interest in the company and that you know what you're talking about.

Coincidentally I wrote a series of articles at privateequityblogger.com that deal with this very question.  I attached the links to venture capital job interview questions.  It's more about what to expect in the interview and what questions the vc will likely throw at you.

    Good luck!

  2. Ask the technical questions first.

1)What are the job repsonsibilities? etc etc.

Then ask some of the "corny" HR questions, like what type of culture is promoted within the company.

How much autonomy does this job provide?

How open is the corporation to suggestions on improvements.

These questions get a lot of attention from good companies with saavy interviewers.

It shows emotional intelligence and that is sometimes rare.

    Good Luck!

Im sure you will do fine.
