Intikhab Alam Is Indian, announces the Voice Recorder
It was rather shocking for Intikhab Alam, the manager for Pakistan cricket team, as well as for the media personnel, when his cell phone attributed him as an Indian in New Zealand.
When Pakistani media personnel tried to contact the team manager in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754, they were stunned to learn that his voice recorder was saying that the manager of Indian cricket team was not there to take the call and would try to get back to the caller
later.
Quite furious over the mistake, the Pakistani team management had to file a complaint to the host board to make the correction that Intikhab was Pakistani and not an Indian. However, even after when the problem had been sorted out, the former skipper had
to bear jokes over the goof-up.
In an attempt to clear the situation, a source at PCB revealed, “The telephone numbers are provided by the host country’s board, which in this case is New Zealand Cricket and they are also responsible for providing all other details of the squad to relevant
departments from which the touring side require services. In Intikhab’s case the telephone company was mistakenly informed that he is manager of the Indian team.”
The team Pakistan is presently on its tour to New Zealand where it will face the hosting rivals in three T20, two Test matches and six one-day matches.
Talking about Pakistan’s poor performance in it first T20 match against the black caps, Intikhab Alam had stated on Monday that the team was not yet comfortable with the conditions in New Zealand, however, he also expressed the hopes for the team to bounce
back in its rest of the T20 matches.
But contrary to the team manager’s hopes, today http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 has lost another match against the team NZ in a miserable way. While putting the blame on the unsuitable weather conditions, Intikhab also disclosed that the team coach was constantly working with
the boys to perform well upon the pitches to which they were not quite used to.
Intikhab also said that the entire team was well aware of the importance of having a successful tour to New Zealand as this was the only chance they had before the world cup which could give a kick to their morale to enter into the mega cricketing event
and which was going to be held in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758.
The team manger went on concluding his remarks by saying that in order to give the opponents a tough time in the T20 matches, it was rather important for the visiting team to give a target of at least 175 runs to the opponents.
