Intikhab Alam explains Sami’s exclusion from contracts list – Cricket News Update
Explaining the exclusion of Mohammad Sami from the list of centrally contracted players, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Intikhab-Alam-c64380, PCB’s director of international cricket operations, on Monday said that the list of central contracts was finalised was well before the selection of team

The Pakistan cricket board extended the pool of contracted players for the calendar year 2012 from 28 to 42; 21 players have been granted full-fledged contracts while the other 21 have been placed in the stipend category. Eight players, including Shahid
Afridi and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Umar-Akmal-c94595, have been given Category A contracts, six have been placed in Category B while the remaining seven earned Category C contracts.
The board has also announced a 25% hike in the salary of centrally contracted players besides a 10 % increase in match fees. The contracts have been back dated to January 01, 2012 and the players who have been playing during the period, will be paid after
they submit the signed copies of contracts with the board.
There have also been reports that some players are not happy with either their assigned categories or with the revised terms of contract. But Alam rubbished the reports saying they have not yet received any complain.
"We have yet to receive any protest or statements of reservation over the contracts from any player, but we are open to address any sort of reservations the players have," said Alam.
