Intimacy- Are We Still Capable of It?

In a world of deceit and subterfuge and game-playing, are we still capable of intimacy?

I am outside society so I am allowed intimacy. I can't cope wiht the poker game that passes for social interaction it confuses me. Go spend some time in a mental hospital when all the chips are  down and there is nothing left to defend there are beautiful relationships (between patients)

I agree with the previous posters; I think it is possible but it is very hard to achieve.  Intimacy is like more 'pure' love... sure, all the games happen but there are people who don't want to play the games.  And there are more who play the game just to play the game, and really just want something real rather than playing the game to get s*x.

But even so, these people who want more than s*x, who want the intimacy... they may be tainted by a society that falsifies intimacy. That makes it really hard for people to obtain real intimacy... but I think it's definitely possible.  It takes the right person...

Of course!  Intimacy is ALWAYS possible, and always will be, no ifs, ands, or buts about it.   As far as deceit, etc. in the world, well, there's always been deceit in the world.  There's also always been goodness and love in the world.  Focus on the goodness and love is my suggestion.

yes but only the lucky people. men and women both have a mature stage that cannot be predicted or set to a fixed age,intimacy is easy it's the love thats hard to get but they are constantly mixed or taken as the other.
