Intoxication and Luxury Vehicles?

With the new vehicles on the market such as Mercedes S65AMG or the flagship of any other luxury brand the UK version of the Honda Accord. How do police recognize that a vehicle has an intoxicated driver; if the vehicle automatically keeps the vehicle in the lane when a driver veers to another and automatically keeps a set distance between their car and the car ahead?

  1. A lane usage violation is only one way to detect a drunk driver.

    While I am not familiar with the technology you speak of - and do not think it exists - I will look for it - Alarms for following too closley are out there and yaw protection is also - these things I am aware of.

    Drunk drivers still speed, they still make illegal and improper turns and also will drive with out headlamps or go very slowly.  I have also identified drunk drivers by there appearence - such as someone sleeping behind the wheel, etc.

    So the detection of drunk drivers will still occur.
