Alright, before I actually dive into the dream I'm going to describe the setting a bit, so if you don't really care about that then skip over this part. I live in southern Alabama and there is a little park about fifteen minutes away from my house we call the Monkey Park, which is where the dream takes place. It sits behind a large elementary school that reminds me of the '60s. A creek runs through the park and there's a little railroad track that makes a circle around the park, crossing two bridges over the creek. Inside the circle there are the standard playground toys, slides and swings and such. After crossing the second bridge there's a small, worn path that goes down a hill and between two large oak trees that leads to the most active part of the creek. There are large rocks that the water runs over and it's very green and natural back there, it's beautiful. The trees on the opposing side are very thick...
This is the first and only dream I have ever had in black and white.
It starts off with me standing at the bank of the little creek, I can hear whispers, kind of like I'm standing in a large room full of people whispering, but I can't see anyone. I begin to get scared and automatically tense up, my breathing and heart rate increases and I slowly turn, so as not to alert the owners of the voices, in preparation to run. Just as I'm turning though I see dozens of pairs of eyes in the trees but not the bodies that they belong to, I become extremely frightened and finally summon the courage to run. I run as fast as I can up the small path but I trip over something (of course...) and I try to scream but I can't, I crawl on the ground trying to stand but I'm so scared that I can hardly move, as I can hear the footsteps of the people from the creek behind me. I reach the old picnic table and pull myself up and try running again, I stumble forward and try screaming one more time before falling. I feel hands all over my body now and I'm lifted from the ground and slowly carried to one of the big oak trees, I'm suddenly dropping through the air and my back makes contact with the ground roughly, they've dropped me in a deep hole. A figure leans over and I realize that it's me, she/I says "I'm sorry." before throwing a handful of dirt on me, some of which gets in my eyes and blacks out my vision. Then I wake up.
I think it's very interesting I just don't know what it means, if anything. I'd like to hear thoughts on it. Sorry if this is morbidly long.
