i have noticed that the color of my iris is changing. when i was very young it was dark brown, but now it is slowly changing to lighter brown/ hazel now. I dont have a disease or anything and they say it takes place in like 10% caucasian people, but i am mostly black(75%).

anyone want to explain whats going on? let me know if you are experiencing this change. Btw am still a teenager.

Thanks

  1. Don't worry about it.

Pigment gives your eyes their color, as you get older, that pigment changes. Most people will not have the same eye color they had when they were little by the time they get older.

Since you still have 25% of non-black heritage it is quite likely that your eyes are just changing color because the pigment is changing.

Unless you notice any change of vision, or soreness, then you really have nothing to worry about.

My eyes changed from blue to brown to green, and my eyes are fine.
