I just bought this beautiful male snow white pomeranian puppy I named Alaska, and I have a 3 and a half year old male Pekingese at home. I was wondering how i should introduce them to each other so they don't fight and stuff.

  1. Bring your Pekingese over to meet the puppy, and make sure to have a positive tone and keep praising the older dog and petting him while you praise him. Only do that if he sniffs and nudges though, if he starts growling then pick up the puppy and go into a different room for a few minutes and try it again. After a few tries he'll get tired of you leaving him behind so he'll learn to be nice to the puppy, but make sure to keep praising him throughout it all until he gets used to the puppy.

  2. You should also do it in a neutral place...not in your home or in your backyard.  That way, your current dog will not be as likely to be territorial.  When I introduced my new Pom to my Chihuahua, I took my Chihuahua to the place where I bought my Pom.  The people where I bought him had no problems with that and it worked out to be a great way to introduce them.  My Chihuahua is still the dominant one, but they do get along well with each other.
