Question:

Introducing Bunny To New Bunny?

Okay, so, long story short we saved a bunny about 5 months ago because this neighbor of ours I guess was breeding them and it got out of hand and this bunny got loose and attacked.

So we took her to the vet and she's been with us since.

Apparently, the neighbor had more bunnies, and those bunnies had more babies and a different neighbor had taken one in, but now can't care for it so we now have the other bunny as well.

Only it's younger then the rabbit we already have.

We introduced them in an area that wasn't either of theirs, but what am I looking for?

How do I know if they are 'getting along' so to say?

The bunny we've had for months seems to like the new bunny, she's grooming and l*****g it. The other bunny, since it's tiny, is scared obviously, but keeps going up to the bigger bunny to check her out.

Help?!

  1. Ditto neutering them.

  2. i have two bunnies. get bunnies fixed. this will prevent unwanted breeding, some diesese, and make them nicer and live longer. im about to get mine neutered so they can be healthier and play together.

    GOOD LUCK!

  3. thats perfectly normal. the smaller one is scared because she doesnt know the big one. the big one likes the smaller one and her maternal instint is turning on to care for the smaller one. the smaller one will get use to it over time so dont stress, but if you play with them make sure you play with them together so they get more use to each other and can with each other in the future.
