Introducing two budgies?

Question

I have had a budgie for about a 2 years and Im considering introducing a 2nd budgie of the opposite s*x, is this a good idea?

And if possible please add a source,

it worked for me the male budgie that was there for about two months didnt seem to mind the new budgie.

it depends, maybe u might not have a whole lot of time for ur parakeet then u should introduce a parakeet to the other budgie, and if u are only going to stay Wit one make sure he has plenty of toys to play with so he wont get bored. it is a good idea because ur parakeet will not be lonely and maybe they can have babies, but u should also know that u will have to buy more food, bigger cage if the one u have is small, and if it is going to be the opposite s*x be sure to know everything about breeding because there is lot of chance that they will mate.
