  1. Interesting character. Check out Jodie Foster in Taxi Driver.

I think what you need to do is think why this character you are going to play is the way she is. It's alright to think "Right she's got to be quick witted and introverted and dislike men" but why?

Think about the past of the character. What events have made her the way she is. What traumas has she endured. What has shaped her to be the way she is.

Your in a really great situation because the director seems really open. You can be as imaginative as you want because he appears to be giving you that freedom of creativity.

Another great thing to do is look through newspapers and cut out some interesting pictures of people that could be this character. Then just sit down and create a story about them. By doing this you quite quickly arrive at a character you could begin to explore for yourself.

  2. Off the top of my head, I think you should focus on characters like Daria and Darlene from Roseanne...Just replace the hatred they had for general stupidity with a hatred for men...But be careful not to overdo it. Nothing worse than an over dramatic actress....

Sorry, can't help you with what to say....Maybe if I knew a certain situation the character would be in....Anyway, shouldn't that be in the script??

By the way, congratulations on getting the part and good luck!
