Do breast pumps/shells cost more than $50 aus??

also, i have severely inverted nipples which means they will not come out without an operation, but will one of those breast pumps atleast make it flat so it isnt sticking inwards?

I'm sure you could get a breast pump for that price. Now about inverted nipples,here is some info I found for you:

Women with inverted nipples may find that their nipples protract (come out) temporarily or permanently during pregnancy, or as a result of breastfeeding. Most women with inverted nipples who give birth are able to breastfeed without complication, but inexperienced mothers may experience higher than average pain and soreness when initially attempting to nurse. When a mother uses proper breastfeeding technique, the infant latches onto the areola, not the nipple, so women with inverted nipples are actually able to breastfeed without issue. An infant that latches on well may be able to slush out an inverted nipple. The use of a breast pump or other suction device immediately before a feeding may help to draw out inverted nipples. A hospital grade electric pump may be used for this purpose. Some women also find that using a nipple shield can help facilitate breastfeeding.

My nipples were inverted when I had my first child, one severely so. I am happy to tell you that I successfully breastfed all three of my children. The inverted nipples disappeared while breastfeeding my first, never to return.

Not sure if ill help much but my mum also has bad inverted nipples and she could not breast feed any of her three children.

As far as the cost i've been looking and breast pumps seem to cost more than $50 as well unless you want to try ebay if that doesn't bother you.

manual breast pumps are cheaper then the electric ones, but they cost more then $50 australian.
