G'day,

I'm an Australian looking to investing in a couple of companies listed on the NYSE. To do this does anybody know whether I should get an Australian- or US-based broker?

  1. Hi

better try to invvest online http://tinyurl.com/6ykc56

they offer very good rates. now there is a promo action. you can invest less than $1,000 at high interest rate

  2. A lot of U.S. based discount brokers offer service to international investors.  I am from the U.S. and I use Firstrade.  They're much cheaper than Etrade.  You can find out more about their application and policies regarding international investors here: http://www.firstrade.com/public/en_us/pr...

  3. Hi Bill,

Either Australian- or US-based broker will do as long as you feel confident using them. I am from NZ, but trade through a US online broker. I also have accounts with a UK online broker that has offices in both Sydney and Auckland.

    Good luck!
