How do i calculate eps of a cpany?is there a website that does this for me?how do i see a companys eps from a year ago?is there a website that will do this for me?

    Calculating EPS is simple and you can use the formula available in the net. the best way to identify the EPS is, get the financial statements of the company for the year. You will get correct EPS for that financial year. There are quarterly statements also available but that is using to identify how company performing time to time and what is the EPS growth we can expect in the end of the year from the previous year one.

    Go to companies website, check the investor relation section, there you will get all the previous years statements. In that statement they will give the correct EPS. There is no cheating because this statements need to submit to the stock exchange. So you can trust the same.

  3. The EPS or "earning per share" of a company is Net Profit after Tax divided by the number of shares outstanding.

    You may obtain the EPS of most companies from any business magazine/newspaper.

    However, if the magazine gives you the stock price and the P/E multiplier.  Then divide the price by the P/E multiplier and you would get the EPS of the company.
