Question:

Invitations Blocked?

I have been trying to get a group together and invited people with company email addresses. In some of these cases the invitations seem to be blocked (spam blocker?) and I can't register some people. A number of people have provided personal email addresses and in most cases this works, but not in all cases. Any suggestions? Is there a way to provide a link for people to register for a group that does not go through the normal "invite" method?

  1. some mail providers like hotmail do see these as spam. if your group is not closed, try sending the people the groups URL through your own e-mail address, they can join via the blue Join This group tab, top right corner of the group

No generic addresses: Email addresses such as webmaster@domain.com or postmaster@domain.com cannot be used to join a group. Messages from Groups should be personal and should not use email addresses which commonly recycled within an organization. In addition, spammers commonly target these addresses. For all these reasons, we disallow their user on the service.
