But you can buy it about $50 less than listed at the store you reference.  Also, had the next lower model; have used the Pinseeker 1500 top of their line.  I don't think there is enough difference in the Medalist v. the 1500 to justify the cost.  Mine works great; is very accurate as far as I can tell.  The pinseeker mode made the difference between the Medalist and their lowest model.  The lowest model, I used for a year or so, and it's great at my course that has the little laser reflectors imbedded in the flagsticks.  (Their official laser is the Laser Link) But when I took it to other courses, it wasn't quite as useful or easy to use.  But the Medalist is GREAT.  Can measure pins/flags without reflectors, distances from and to various objects (such as bunkers, carries over water hazards, to trees, etc.).

I highly recommend a laser rangefinder over the SkyCaddie because once you buy one, you never have to pay any additional fees for downloading courses, etc.

It's a GREAT tool for someone who plays often or different courses!
