  1. Afew months ago the government said if you invite friends or family over for a holiday from outside the EU you'd have to pay afew thousand pound.I'd be interested to see if the government have stuck to what they've said.

  2. Who has been telling you this for 10 days ?  Surely they know what you need to say ?

For a female Saudi (I assume she is a Saudi ?) to travel alone to the UK, I dare say that there would need to be some sort of sponsorship. The letter should say that you are inviting her (? to stay with you), and that you would be responsible for her welfare while she was in the UK.

You should also say that she is fully intending to return to Saudi, and that she has no intention of staying in the UK.

There is no point in sending a copy of the letter to the British Embassy in Riyadh until the visa application has been submitted. Just send the original to your friend. She can then submit your letter together with the application.

  3. Indicate she is to visit and will stay with you, as you will be responsible for her food, transport, and any emergency needs.
