Ok long story short... my fiance's aunt uncle and his two cousins (one guy one girl)were invited to the wedding.. the one cousin has a boyfriend whom weve known for years... (the are both in their early twenties...)

anyway my mother in law just sent one invite to the fam (i know, i think its rude and that the cousins should have gotten their own but i didnt feel like arguing) She had assumed that the guy cousin wouldnt come cuz he never does and that the girl would bring her boyfriend, which she knew he was of course invited....no big deal even if all 5 ended up coming...

turns out that we get the rsvp back and the boyfriend isnt coming.. not because he is unavailable but because her mom told her that it was just for the family. then ifound out she tol dmy mother in law not to send out a separate invite to the daughter and her boyfriend because she doesnt like him. apparently she thinks he is g*y. whatever . anyway, i just feel horrible cuz im friends with him too.. should i just talk to my fiances cousin and tell her to bring him?? or ask why hes not coming (she doesnt know it happened this way) i dont know when i will talk to her again because she is in italy for now.. the wedding is in 4 weeks. she might come back only a few days before.

  1. If you  are such good friends call him yourself to invite him.

  2. If someone sent an invitation to my family, I wouldn't assume that my boyfriend is included even if the bride or groom knew who he was.  Let your cousin know that the invite was including her boyfriend too. He probably got offended or something, but let them know that it wasn't your intention.

  3. Get an address and send him his own invite, apologize for the mix up. After all, you feel very bad that this happened and intended no such thing. If you can't get this information at all then there isn't a lot you can do.
