Question:

Invite new members?

I have sent an invite to the same person twice today but the person has not received it yet. The invite appears in the management section so I apparently did it correctly.

  1. invites have been glitchy for just about a year now, some get them, many do not and some servers see them as spam.

if you have a closed group, you're in a bind since invites is how you gain members- if it's not closed, just send them the link to your homepage

  2. what invite are we talking about here?. i apparently do not understand your question. and i am sorry for that.

  3. If the invite is listed as being sent in the Membership activity log, you did it correctly.  For the person to actually receive the invite depends on that person's email service.  Sometimes it takes longer with some than others to receive emails.  Also, there's a problem especially with sending Yahoo invites to a Hotmail address.  Yahoo is aware of that problem and is working on it.

Hopefully your invitee will receive the invite soon.  If he/she doesn't, sent him/her a personal email along with the link to your group's home page. The person can then click on that link, go to group site and click on the blue "Join This Group" button.

  4. Sometimes it takes time for the invitation to reach the other person's mailbox. But if you wish you can add them to your group directly without sending an invitation:

How can I directly add (not invite) members to my group?

  5. Some times it takes a little while to process the command. Wait a few more hours, if nothing happens email admin.
