Invited to dinner?

Question

She suggested we get together have dinner and hang in.

What is a good bottle of wine to bring.

No I don't know whats for dinner, so white, red or both.

Also what kinds and names?

Depends, is she a wine drinker? If she is, a bottle of Merlot or Cabernet Savignon (Woodbridges by Mondavi) would be a good choice. If she prefers white try a Reisling or Chardonay. The color doesn't really matter, it's all a matterof preference. If she does not generally drink wine, a Beringer Zinfindel is probably a better choice, not as high an alcohol content and easy to drink.

You can never go wrong with any California wine - Mondavi is a well-known, excellent winery, and their red wines (Cabernet & Merlot) are especially good

blossom hill there wine is beautiful you can buy it in any supermarket or off licence ........ide bring red and white wine to be on the safe side

Go with what you know you like. If you do not regularly drink wine, what does she usually drink? If she likes sweet drinks (like cosmopolitins) then go with  a slightly sweeter wine. The "pink" White Zinfindel from Beringer is good as is the White Merlot from Sutter Home. Good reds are Syrahs, Cabernets and Merlots.

Rieslings are slightly sweet but not overly so. Chardonnays can be a bit tart but are light and fresh. Look at these websites and see if anything sounds good to you!
