Involuntarily terminating fathers rights in Texas?

My daughter is 4.5yrs old and her father has had nothing to do with her for over 3yrs. He has not given me any money for her, has not seen her, called her, even sent her a birthday card. I am engaged and my fiance and I want for him to adopt her and take over her fathers responsibility since my fiance has already taken his place. I don't know where to find my soon to be ex husband but I plan to get a lawyer beginning of next year after my baby is born. I have a family with my fiance and he is a much better person than my daughters real father. My daughter wants my fiance to be her daddy. I left my husband because he was an alcoholic and did drugs. I am just wondering if anyone else has gotten any ones rights revoked and what to expect. I am willing to do what it takes and cost is not an issue to make sure my daughter gets what she deserves.
