Involved in a hit and run accident, need help?

im 19 and live in rhode island. i was involved in a hit and run accident on my 19th birthday while my car was parked outside of my girlfriends house. My car is totaled and cannot be driven. I need to get to work, school, and drive my father to doctors appointments. I called the other parties insurance company and told them i would need a rental car.... after 30 minutes of arguing they agreed that i would need one. They agreed to a car that would cost up to 25 dollars a day which is not a problem.... just as long as it gets me from point a to point b. The rental companies however require you to be 21-25 for a rental, what am i to do? i need a car while mine is immobile. What should i do?

rent it in your dads name and drive.

ask your dad to put it in his name and tell him you will give him the money to pay for it or the safer and better thing to do is try to find a different rental company

No rental car company is going to rent to you, at 19.

My suggestion, is borrow your father's car, or mother's car, and let THEM rent (and drive) the rental.
