Inzamam continues to slam PCB for strategic errors
Former Pakistan captain Inzamam ul Haq never hesitates in taking pot-shots at the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 Cricket Board and this week was no different. Speaking to reporters in Pakistan, he joined others making the charge that the current predicament that the Pakistani side finds itself in was a result of the PCB’s lack of thought process. Inzamam also added that the team was struggling to perform well because of the board’s policy of ignoring the seniors and putting the juniors at the deep end.

Inzamam added that given that the tour of England is always a demanding one, the selectors should have thought through their strategy beforehand.

It is a well-known fact that Inzamam and Mohammad Yousuf are very good friends and Yousuf has been seen taking advice from the burly former captain on many occasions. Inzamam came out in support of Yousuf and said that he deserved to be on the flight to England in the first place, and the humiliating loss to England in the Trent Bridge Test was a result of his absence. Yousuf has since joined the team again.

Inzamam was stated as saying that it was good to select http://www.senore.com/Cricket/A-Young-c41367 team, but it should not be done at the expense of the seniors who are required to guide the juniors in the side. He also criticised the strategy used by the team management to send in two youngsters, Azhar Ali and Umar Amin at the numbers three and four. Inzamam advised that Shoaib Malik and Umar Akmal should be send in at those crucial positions in the middle-order, whereas Ali and Amin should have been going in later.

Inzamam also reckoned that the major issue that the Pakistani batting faced was that they did not have a proper batting coach to guide the youngsters. Waqar Younis is the main coach, who is a former fast bowler.

The PCB has announced that Yousuf will travel to England to prop up a struggling Pakistani batting. However, it is not yet known whether he will be able to reach England in time before the second Test match. The second Test match starts Friday.

Inzamam had played 120 Tests and 378 ODIs in his career, before ending his international career and joining the Indian Cricket League.
