Is there a reaction?

If so, what's the product?

  1. Feasible reactions include:

    Cl(-) + I2 = ICl + I(-)   not likely

Cl(-) + I2 = I2Cl(-)   possible but I would not anticipate the equilibrium to lie toward the right when the counterion is lithium.

    2 Cl(-) + I2 = 2 I(-) + Cl2   ridiculous.

    I expect no reaction frankly.
