Iodine? my mother went to buy some and they do not sell it anymore?

Question

when I was little mom and grandma would always put Iodine on my booboos. (you may be too young to know this), but she told me she went to 3 drug stores to buy some and they do not carry it anymore.

I still have a tiny bottle for splinters, but i am not giving it up. (I get alot of splinters, make a funny if you like, I do not mind)

why do they not carry Iodine anymore? (I told her I would ask on YA)

they do still sell iodine everywhere.  its usually called betadine.  but when i was little, my mom put something from a little bottle on my cuts and scrapes called either Mercurochrome or Merthiolate.  its bright orange and they do still sell that also.  all three should be in just about every drugstore you go in.

Since Iodine was one of the key ingredients used to make 'Meth' you now must go to Pharmacy Counter, Show your DL, or State Issued ID and sign your life away to purchase this product. Once purchased, you go into the system. You are limited to the amount of Iodine you can buy in one month.

It's because Iodine is used in the manufacturing of Crystal Meth...what kind of a neighborhood or town do you live in?.

If u ever get a splinter in a hard to access area please call me and I will help you....as for your question......all i have to say is you have a sensational rack - and good for you for displaying them!...u made my day ...god bless you and those lovely twins of yours....Amen...PS .if i knew what iodine was i would tell you..i think people put it in table salt...i didnt pay much attention at school and as a result am a bit slow...my shrink says i was distracted by my teachers boobies...what do u reckon?

i use metholated spirits for everything...open cuts it may sting more...but works better......works for me....seamanab x
