I just wanted to know if you had lithium, oxygen, carbon, potassium an fluorine.. what would be the order of the ionization energy if it was decreasing?

I was just wondering how the format would go decreasing.

It would be great help, thanks.

  1. F > O > C > Li > K

The fluorine would have the highest ionization energy because it is the smallest atom, potassium is the largest atom and would be very easy to remove the first electron, which is part of the reason potassium is so reactive with water.
