Iowa Home schooling....?

Im in 9th grade at a iowa high school and i recently had surgery and my mom found out today that because of the days i missed my school dropped me.

my question is if your being homeschooled in iowa would you still recieve a high school diploma or would you have to have GED?

also

who can we contact about home schooling?
