Ok well I got a job somewhere around July 10, and the last day i worked was prob, last Wed. Well the first couple weeks I was working there I probably worked a good 100+ hrs. and well after that up to Last Wed. prob. another 100 hrs., and well so far I've gotten paid for TWO DAYS! I'm getting very angry. And someone already wants me to work for them, so I want to quit my current job, (we get paid Tomorrow for ONE WEEK!) and well I heard if you quit you wont get paid, i know thats not true!. but then I also heard that they can hold your paycheck for a month? Is any of this true!?!?!?!?

  1. You have been working for two months, and they only paid you for two days so far?? WOW    I'm in Iowa also, please tell me where you work so I never work there. I'm pretty sure they can hold paying you for some time. I have worked as a sub teacher in the past. A district will not pay you till it has been a full 30 days since the last day you worked on a certain pay period.  Because pay periods for subs is not biweekly and sometimes not Even monthly, I got paid mid Feb. for days I worked in the beginning of November. To say the least, I choose not to work for them again.  If you quit they still have to pay you for every hour you already worked.  My question is, were you working flood clean up, I heard pay for that can be weekly or they will pay you when they want??

    Good Luck!

  2. If you quit, they have until your normal payday to pay you. If you are normally paid on Friday, they must pay you by Friday. Many companies hold a heck for a week. So you may get your 2nd to last check this week, but have to wait until the following payday for your last. But again, they must pay you by the regular payday.

If you are fired, Not sure the exact hours involved. But I know it is 24 or less. They must pay you immediately if fired.
