In Iowa, what is the law if a woman who receives child support and alimony, moves in with a man she intends to marry? According to Virginia law, the alimony should stop. Is that true in Iowa as well?

  1. You are not married until you say "I do". Alimony will stop once you re-marry. Unless there is a provision in your settlement that exludes alimony while you are living with another person.
