how do i find out my ip address

If your on windows, go to the command prompt, and type in, ipconfig

That will give you your IP address, and some other information.

This site will give you all the information you need:

http://www.getip.com/

or this one:

http://www.mywanip.com/

Go to http://www.showmyip.com/.

Note that if you use a proxy to go to the site, your real I.P. will not be shown.

The second answer about using IPCONFIG generally will not work.  You'll see the address of your machine but that's most likely a local address issued by your router, not the address the world sees.
