Iphone 3g help!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

im planning on getting a iphone 3g i heard u have to pay $30 a month but i dont know for how long u have to pay can any1 explain me all this AT&T and roger plan like do u have to get a roger plan and then sign contract with AT&T or what best answer gets 5 points

To get the $199/$299 price, you need to sign a 2-year contract. Otherwise the price is closer to $599/$699(not sure of exact pricing, you'll have to ask yourself)

not sure about Rogers.

You dont need to be a customer of both companies, just one and that depends on whether or not you're in the US(ATT) or Canada(Rogers). They are just the 2 companies in North America offering the iphone.

yea, the $30 a month is for the unlimited data package.  which you need for the internet.  they make you get this when you buy the phone.  the cheapest voice package is $39.99 a month.  these do not include text messages.  that plan is extra.  $5 for 200 text, $15 for 1500 text and $20 for unlimited.  so, yes the plans are expensive but trust me, its worth every penny! i love my phone!
