Iphone syncing help?

I have the new Iphone 3g and I was trying to syc it to my computer but it won't work. I already have an ipod and that comes up fine but when I plug the iphone in itunes doesn't come up automatically so I click on it myself but the iphone still won't come up under the devices. I was wondering if there was something I wasn't doing correctly.

The only thing that does happen when I plug in the iphone is when I go to "My Computer" it does come up under the camera catagory. The only thing I can do here though is just view any photos I took with the phone.

maybe you are using the wrong cable?

make sure your using the white cable thing

from your iphone not the ipod.

other than that i can only suggest restarting the

iphone.

or just bring it to the store, they are really friendly.
