Iphone upgrade to 3g pricing?

I have an iphone and want to upgrade to a iphone 3g. How much will everything cost if i go to the store, exchange it,and activate. Plus the plan and everything approximitly?

If you bought the original iphone on or after May 27, 2008 then you can trade up for no additional cost. You can actually get the iPhone 3G plus a refund of the difference, but there is a 10% restocking fee in the U.S. If you are on O2 then you get a free upgrade as well.

Also consider why you need the iPhone 3G. The only true features you gain over your current iPhone is GPS, ability to access faster network speeds (Not available everywhere! If 3G is isnt rolled out in your area it will be the same speed as your current iphone when surfing the internet and downloading email attachments) and better battery life. The software you see on the iPhone 3G will be the same that you will have at the end of this month on your current iPhone. So consider if these features are worth an extra $146.33 per feature to you.
