Whenever I try to restore my Ipod Touch, it gives me that error code. An unknown error has occurred (20). I've searched everywhere and can't find anything about error code 20, can anyone help? Thanks.

  1. I was getting the same prob. I finally tried this fix for use with an older update and iPod, and somehow, it worked:

If you have iPod Touch and for some reason you updated the Firmware to last version 1.1.3 and want to return to the 1.1.1 to be able to make the Jailbreak and power to install applications exists a very simple method that I discovered in The Unofficial Apple Weblog in a commentary the way to do it.

It extinguishes iPod with red slider.

Conéctalo by means of the USB and abre iTunes.

The one presses both bellboys to ignite and Home by 10 seconds but you do not loosen them.

Loose the button to later ignite and mantén pressed the Home button during other 10 seconds and suéltalo.

iTunes is going to recognize iPod in restoration way at this moment you are going to recover to version 1.1.1 or 1.1.2.

When giving click in the button to recover presses the Option key in Mac or Shift in Windows to choose what Firmware to install.

My iPod doesn't have a red slider...and I'm restoring to 1.1.4, but I did the button push thing...reconnect...and it FINALLY restored...albeit slowly. Good luck!
