Question:

Ipod Nano 3rd Gen. Hard/Flash Drive issue..

I've been having a little issue with my iPod 3rd Gen. - on various songs, it'll only play between 1 and 45 seconds of a song, and then skip to the next. It wont do this with every song, and I'm not sure which ones it will do this to either. I've already tried resetting it to the factory settings, installing and re-installing iTunes, and resetting it by pressing the 2 required buttons on the ipod itself.

The Apple Store (at the mall), on the phone, and even Best Buy have all said it might be the Hard/Flash drive. Is there any other ideas/suggestions of what I could do - or is there a place where I can find a replacement Hard/Flash drive? Or would it just be recommended to send it back to Apple to be fixed or replaced?

Thanks!

  1. the songs are mostly likely imported i as mp4,mp3 files which sometimes dont work well with itunes.

    go to itunes:

    1. see if they play on ur comp

    2. if they do, reset ur ipod (hold middle and bottom button till the apple logo appears. (its like a restart)

    3. take the songs that are skipping and right click and select 'convert to AAC"

    4. DELETE the mp3/4 etc songs from ur ipod/itunes

    5. sync ur ipod

    6. REPLACE with the AAC versions in ur playlists etc...

    7. sync ipod

    8. enjoy :P

    9. vote my for best answer :P
