Ipod Touch freezes Itunes, has apple logo that won't go away, also apps don't work often...help???

I just got it two weeks ago and have maybe had 1 or 2 days with no problems. First, the apps would work one minute and not the next, so I would leave it alone. I just figured out that by shutting it off and turning it back on, it would work, but it is rather annoying. The big problem is that it just won't sync, or turn on for that matter. I plugged it in and it froze Itunes, so I disconnected and reconnected it, and it just keeps freezing. It is currently stuck with the apple logo. I power resetted it several times and it just has the apple logo when i turn it back on. Connecting it is no use...help?

ive had my ipod for quite a while n i hav those same problems alot but wen it freezes like that ther is nothin u can do, u jus hav to let it lose battery power(so dont plug it in on the charger!!) and after it goes back to a normal black screen hold down the power button n if u c the battery wit red blinking on the screen(u no   the notification that its dead) then u can plug it back in and charge it. 4 the apps on my ipod most of the time wen i download new apps they *crash* (send me back tho the home screen) and SUMTIMES jus turning it off and turning the ipod on again works but not all the time. so i plug it back in on my ipod and sync a new app on it n it usually starts workin again.  as 4 the syncing problem i jus had that prob. a few weekes ago, my ipod said that new stuff was synced onto it but it obviously wasnt, THEN my ipod said i had no music or vid.s on it and wen i plugged it in my lap top it said i still hav all my songs n junk on it. so i began to think that it was my apps after a few days n wen i finally deleted them on my ipod it began to work again then i put the apps back on n no prob. since

try taking it back and getting a zune instead
