Ipod aux hookup to mazda 3?

Question

just bought a new 08 mazda 3. it's still at the dealer, i'm going to pick it up tomorrow. so i was going to go out to walmart tonight to buy the cord i need so i can listen to my ipod on the way home tomorrow.

anyone know what exactly this cord is called? i'm sure i can figure it out when i get there but just trying to be prepared. thanks!!

Hey! Congrats on the new car, I picked mine up last Friday, and I love her.  You could go to any local store and purchase a dual stereo wire (I think that is what it is called) My husband got ours at radio shack. It looks like a headphone jack on both sides.

  The Ipod integration kit will run you over a hundred bucks, and I think you will need a switch box which is another hundred +.

It is best to buy the cord from the dealer

it will let you control the ipod from the radio using the mini disc button,  it will also display all the ipod text on the mazda radio
