Ipod corrupted? help!

Question

ok so my ipod (i have a 30 gb one) ran out of battery power, so i went to go charge it. when i plugged it in, first my computer said it didn't recognize the software, then said the ipod was "corrupted". Now it won't get off of the screen with "do not disconnect" on it, and i can't turn it off. it's like it's frozen. any help? if you need more info, i'm going to be checking back. thanks!

um.. hold the power button and the home button at the same time for like 30 sec

and see what happens =]

That happened to me too, I don't know either, every time I plugged it in said the same thing.
