Hi guys,

I have purchased a Ipod Touch but the issue with this ipod is when I plug it into my laptop it starts discharging instead of charging!! which means that if I had like half the battery it would go back and tell me that the ipod is on low battery?

Can any one help me fix this issue?

Best answer will be selected as soon as the issue is rectified.

Thanks

  1. I might also add that an AC battery charger is handy too to keep it charged before you connect it to your laptop.

  2. Many Laptops USB ports are NOT the FULL 500mA capable ones so wont be able to supply enough power to charge teh ipod instead your Ipod is powering the laptop.

You need to charge it via a full spec USB port either from a powered hub (Not unpowered on) or a direct connection to a desktop computer (but not the keyboard USB ports as they are low power too).

There is no fix unless your laptop is fitted with a full power USB port option and many are NOT!
