Ipod doesnt show up on windows or itunes..!?

when i connect the ipod nano (2nd gen.) on the computer, it charges but wont show up on my computer or itunes. i tried restarting the computer and reinstalling itunes, but nothing. n e solutions to what might work?

Try resetting the ipod.
